Organizing your progress photos

Last checked: November 1, 2026 · ELX Labs

Progress photos let you compare images taken at different times. A useful record starts with consistent framing, separate projects and deliberate choices about backups and sharing.

Keep a project for each goal

Separate face and body photos to avoid mixing projects. A date and angle attached to each photo makes comparison easier. You can document a fitness routine or changes in your skin’s appearance without publishing the images.

Repeat the conditions

Similar distance, angle and lighting make changes easier to interpret. An overlay of the previous image can help you repeat your framing. Visual comparison is not an objective body-composition measurement or a medical diagnosis.

Before and after, or timelapse?

A before-and-after tool compares two dates. A timelapse plays a sequence of photos. Neither proves that a product, treatment or fitness program works.

What GlowTrack provides

GlowTrack is an iPhone app for documenting face and body changes through photos. It organizes progress projects, helps repeat your framing, and provides before-and-after comparisons and timelapse videos. Data is stored locally, with optional iCloud backup. Downloading is free, with premium features offered through subscriptions.

The project supports multiple progress projects and an overlay for framing. Native video export is designed for iOS. Illustrations on this site are not user results.

Choose how to back up

Photos and progress data are stored on the device. No GlowTrack account is required. Optional iCloud backup is off by default and uses your personal Apple account. You choose whether to export or share content; support messages you send leave the device.

Before sharing a video, review every image for personal details you do not want to reveal. Keeping an export or enabling iCloud is your choice.
